1976 ­ Chestnut Hill Medical Center, Newton, MA
Conversion of a property formerly used as a department store in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center resulted in a state of the art, 40,000 square-foot medical office building placed in operation in 1977.  A number of original tenants continue to practice in the building to this day.

1977 ­ Northfield Green, Portland ME
201 garden style apartment units, which were sold in 1989.

1978 ­ Oak Park, Lewiston ME
Conversion of an antiquated downtown storage building into 94 rental apartments with central atrium.  Oak Park was the recipient of a federal grant for the demonstration of solar energy as a heat source in the early stages of alternative energy development.

1980 ­ Cotton Mill, Hallowell ME
An old mill property on the Kennebeck River was converted into 57 apartments.

1980 ­ New Falls Apartments, Newton MA
60 garden style apartments in Newton Lower Falls built on land acquired from the Newton Redevelopment Authority. We entered into this project with an equal partner, and two decades later acquired full ownership of the venture from our partner's estate.

1981 ­ Fitchburg Green Apartments, Fitchburg MA
Construction of 147 rental units in a mid-rise structure, plus 12 rental townhouse units.  Our original equal partner has since transferred his interest to a successor generation that happily remains our partner in the venture. The current low interest environment has allowed us to complete a complex financial transaction for both parties that has added substantial value to the property.

1981 ­ Florence Mill Apartments, Vernon CT
Conversion of an historic structure formerly housing an envelope company into 114 apartments. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

1981 ­ Marble Street Apartments, Worcester MA
Construction of 150 rental units in a mid-rise structure, plus 12 rental townhouses.

1981 ­ Diamond Power Corporation
Development and 1987 sale of rights to construct a hydro-electric power facility in Brooklyn, CT.

1981 ­ Franklin Industrial Park, Franklin MA
Planning and zoning approval, followed by the 1985 sale of a 12 acre site for use as an industrial park. 

1982 ­ Hamilton Park Apartments, Norwich CT
Construction of 108 rental units in a mid-rise structure accompanied by 12 rental townhouses

1982 - Bedford Executive Park, Bedford, NH
After a lengthy permitting review and successful land use litigation, the site was sold in 1989 accompanied by full development rights and zoning approvals.

1983 ­ Naubuc Green Apartments, Glastonbury CT
Construction of 111 elderly rental units in a garden apartment complex. We became the general partner in this development when a local not-for-profit experienced difficulty in moving the project forward. Glastonbury Interfaith Housing Enterprises Limited Partnership programs a variety of resident services at Naubuc Green while maintaining a limited ownership interest.

1983 ­ Dempsey Apartments, Macon GA
Conversion and total rehabilitation of an eleven story, historic downtown hotel property into 194 rental units.  The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. We entered into the process and became equal partners when a variety of problems impeded forward progress on the part of the originating development team. Subsequently we purchased the property outright as a means to meet our partner's need to divide their equity interest.

1984 ­ Fairways, Newton MA
Joint venture with the Newton Bank for Savings in the development and sale of 44 luxury condominiums bordering both sides of Newton's Commonwealth Country Club.

1985 ­ Hartfield Executive Park, East Windsor CT
Planning and development of a 420,000 square foot multi-building office park, sold subsequent to the completion and occupancy of the park's first building.

1985 ­ Anchorage Apartment, Boston MA
Historic preservation and adaptive reuse of the US Navy's Anchor and Chain Shop in the Charlestown Navy Yard as a 112 unit apartment complex. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

1986 ­ Goddard Crossing, Worcester MA
Land development for 146 residential duplex homes.

1987 ­ Barkan Derry Development, Derry NH
A joint development venture with the Co-Operative Bank of Concord New Hampshire of a 100 acre site permitted for single family homes. Subsequent to the construction and sale of an initial phase, the development was sold in 1989 to Builder's Collaborative, Inc.

1987 ­ 24 Farnsworth Street, Boston, MA
Creation of a 75,000 square foot contemporary office building through the adaptive re-use and reconstruction of an underutilized manufacturing facility in the Fort Point Channel area of Boston.
